Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner's application for renewal / extension of mining lease of the subject lease is pending consideration before Collector, Department of Mining, District Kanker since 17.11.2011 (Annexure - P/11) that may be directed to be considered and decided expeditiously.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.
The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable and is accordingly allowed.

Be that as it may, the concerned officer is directed to take decision on the petitioner's said application expeditiously preferably within a period of six weeks' from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and the
question of environmental clearance shall also be considered. 5.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
