By the Judgment dated 16.01.2020, passed by 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Ramanujganj, District- Balrampur (C.G.) in Special Case No. 115/2018, accused/respondent- Machu Nag has been acquitted of the charge under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code.

The appellant was sent for trial for committing murder of his mother- Chamri Bai on 10.06.2018.

The case of the prosecution was based on circumstantial evidence, however, all material witnesses have turned hostile without supporting the prosecution case. Even the memorandum statement
vide Ex. P/8 and the consequent seizure of sarai wood stick (Exs. P/6 & P/7) have not been proved. There is absolute lack of evidence to connect the accused with the crime in question.
