1. The only ground of challenge to the transfer order is that the petitioner is going to retire on 31.8.2018, therefore, he should be considered for posting in his home district or at any other place of his choice, as provided under transfer policy dated 11th July 2017.

2. The petitioner's date of retirement is 31st August 2018 which is after one year. Therefore, the policy is not applicable. However, if the petitioner prefers representation to the concerned respondent, it may be considered and decided within a period of 4 weeks whether the petitioner should be

-2given relief to continue at the present place of posting.

3. The petition is accordingly disposed off.
