Respondent No.6 is present in person along with records of the case of the petitioner.

After having heard learned counsel for the parties and records which have been produced, it is necessary to carry out fresh scrutiny with the available record of the service of the petitioner. All the entries with regard to the withdrawal and deposit shall be verified and cross-checked from the records relating to withdrawal and deposit, fully or in part. Where the records are not available, verification / scrutinization shall be carried out on the basis of

service book of the petitioner. Respondent Nos. 3 & 4, through competent officers have to scrutinize the petitioner's case in the manner as directed above. Respondent Nos. 5 & 6 shall provide documents which are in their possession to facilitate scrutiny. The documents demanded by Respondent Nos. 3 & 4 shall be made available by Respondent Nos. 5 & 6 within a period of two months. If some of the documents are not traceable, Respondent Nos. 3 & 4 shall decide the petitioner's claim on the basis of certified entries made in the service book of the petitioner. This exercise shall be completed within an outer limit of 6 weeks from the date of receiving relevant documents / information from Respondent Nos. 5 & 6. After scrutiny, if any more amount is found due and payable to the petitioner, the same shall be finalized. Before finalizing the scrutiny, the petitioner shall also be noticed for personal hearing. If the petitioner chooses to do so, he may also appear on the date fixed for personal hearing which shall not be granted more than once. 3.

With the aforesaid observation / direction, the petition is finally disposed off.
