Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order On Board 22/11/2017 By this contempt petition, the petitioner has alleged willful disobedience of order dated 18/07/2017 by which, this Court had directed consideration of petitioner's representation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it is a transfer matter and no decision has been taken despite order dated 18/07/2017 passed by this Court communicated to respondent No.4 of the writ petition / present contemnor. 3.

I find that this Court has disposed off the writ petition with a direction to decide petitioner's representation. This Court had not fixed any time limit for taking decision. However, the authorities cannot sit over the matter for indefinite period. Considering that the matter only relates to petitioner's representation relating to transfer, it would have only been proper that the matter should have been decided at an early stage.

Four months have already elapsed. The authorities are expected to now decide petitioner's representation expeditiously, in any case, within 30 days from the date of receipt of copy of the order which is now being passed, else, this Court would be constrained to proceed against the authorities treating it to be a case of flouting the order of this Court.

Let a copy of this order be placed before the respondent. This contempt petition is accordingly closed.
