1. The petitioner seems to be aggrieved of the seniority given to him in the latest provisional gradation list that was published on 04.10.2017.

2. According to the petitioner, applying the Rule of Catch-Up the seniority of the petitioner in the gradation list would be much higher and on account of the non-applying of the Rule of Catch-Up, the juniors to the

petitioner find place much ahead of the petitioner in the gradation list and in the process the petitioner's promotional avenues get hampered severely. According to the petitioner, he has been approaching the respondent authorities by representations followed by repeated reminders. However, till date the respondents have not taken any decision.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as of now the writ petition may be disposed of directing the respondents to take a decision on the representation of the petitioner in accordance with the rules governing the field at the earliest.

4. Considering the limited relief that the petitioner seeks that of deciding his representation, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents 2 to 4 to take an appropriate decision on the representation of the petitioner in accordance with the rules governing the field particularly considering whether the Rule of Catch-Up would be applicable under the respondent-establishment or not. Let an appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
