The grievance of the petitioner, as ventilated through this petition is that though the petitioner is the senior most Stenographer Grade-I working in the office of respondent No.2, he has not been considered for promotion to the post of Assistant Director. Referring to the provision contained in Scheduled-II appended to Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste Welfare Department (Gazetted) Recruitment in Service Rules, 2006, it is submitted that one post of Assistant Director is lying vacant for being filled up from the cadre of Stenographer Grade-I.

The petitioner's claim for promotion is liable to be considered

-2subject to the condition that no post of Assistant Director has been occupied by way of promotion of any Stenographer Grade-I at present.

Let the respondent-authorities consider the matter and petitioner's claim for promotion as early as possible in accordance within the time framed for consideration of cases as per circular dated 16.02.2015 and 13.07.2015, subject to availability of vacancy of post of Assistant Director for being filled up by Stenographer Grade-I.

The petition is accordingly disposed off.
