(2) The petitioner was appointed on the post of Employment Assistant in village Panchayat Deviganj in District Balrampur on the contract basis by order dated 30.06.2008 (Annexure P-2) for a period of six months and that was extended time to time on the basis of exigency of the services. Now, by order dated 12.09.2015, the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat Ramchandrapur (Ramanujganj), District Balrampur Ramanujganj has advertised for the same post on the basis of contract appointment in Village Panchayat Deviganj. (3) Against which, the petitioner has aggrieved and filed this writ

petition.

(4) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is already working on the same post since 30.06.2008 though he was appointed for a period of six months, but it was extended time to time.

(5) It is well settled that the petitioner was appointed for a period of six months to hold for a fit period. The petitioner is free to participate in the said appointment procedure. The petitioner has no right to continue on the contract post.
