(1) Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed seeking direction to respondent No. 3 before whom application for changing of nominee has been filed by the petitioner on 8th August, 2016.

(2) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the present petitioner is to retire on 31st January, 2017; and that if the application is not allowed, it may have some adverse repercussions and, therefore, respondent No. 3 may be directed to take decision on the petitioner's application filed on 8th August, 2016 at the earliest.

(3) Without commenting on merits of the case, and also without expressing any opinion, present petition is being disposed of with a limited direction to the respondent No. 3 to take decision on the application dated 8th August, 2016 filed by the petitioner in accordance with law on its own merits.

(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of.
