1. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner at the outset submits that he does not want the Petition to be decided on merits but makes a limited prayer that the grievances of the Petitioner which is pending consideration before the authorities so far as the grant of arrears of
payment and the amended pay band and grade pay applicable to the post the Petitioner is working are concerned, be decided as early as possible.
2. Learned State Counsel submits that the case of the Petitioner is under consideration as is reflected from the order dated 29.02.2016 passed by the Chief Municipal Officer, Municipal Corporation, Baikunthpur.
3. In the light of the aforesaid submissions made by the Counsel for the parties, ends of justice would be if the Petition is disposed off with a direction to Respondent No.5, the Chief Municipal Officer, Baikunthpur to take an appropriate decision in accordance with the rules governing the field so far as the service condition of the Petitioner are concerned.
4. It is expected that the Respondent shall decide the matter as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 4 months from today.
5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on merits so far as the entitlement of the Petitioner is concerned. The Respondent Authorities would be at liberty to pass the order purely in accordance with rules governing the field.
6. With the aforesaid observation the present Writ Petition stands disposed off.
