1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner stands retired on 29-2-2016 from the services as Principal in Vivekananda Post Graduate College, Manindragarh and as per Government's circular dated 6-11-2017 (Annexure P/2), the persons who have retired after 1-1-2016, they would be

entitled to get gratuity of Rs.20,00,000/-. However, the petitioner has been paid Rs.9,00,000/- and rest of Rs.11,00,000/- is still remaining with the respondents authority, therefore, petitioner has made a representation dated 26-2-2020 (Annexure P/3) to the Secretary, Higher Education Department, Atal Nagar, Raipur, CG for release of rest of the amount of gratuity, which is still pending before the respondent authority and the same may be directed to be considered and decided.

Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, it is directed that the petitioner shall make a fresh representation to the Secretary, Higher Education Department, Raipur about his entitlement and benefit to get the gratuity to the extent of Rs.20,00,000/- within a period of three weeks which may be considered and decided by the respondent authorities within a further period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the representation.

4. With the above observations, this writ petition stands finally disposed of.
