The matter was called up twice for hearing but none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned State counsel would submit that petitioner had filed this writ petition seeking promotion and during the pendency of this writ petition, his case has already been considered and he has been promoted on the post of Head Constable on 15/10/2014, therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous.

Placing the aforesaid statement of learned State counsel on record, the instant writ petition is dismissed having become infructuous.
