1. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the junior from the petitioner has been granted promotion on the post of District Planning & Statistical Officer w.e.f 18.06.2002, whereas, petitioner has been promoted on 18.01.2010, therefore, he is also entitled for the promotion w.e.f. 18.06.2002 for which he has already made representation which has not been considered and decided.

2. Be that as it may, respondent No.1 is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner within six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order by passing a reasoned and speaking order. Petitioner is at liberty to file additional representation within seven days from today. However, it is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.

3. With the aforesaid observation / direction the instant writ petition stands disposed off.
