1. The limited grievance that the petitioners have in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not issuing a formal order of appointment that is the posting order of the petitioners inspite of the petitioners being declared successful in the selection process for appointment to the post of Assistant Teacher Science (Lab Assistant) as early as on 15.09.2020.

2. It is a case where the petitioners were subjected to a complete process of selection arising out of an advertisement dated 09.03.2019 and in due

-2course of time the petitioners being successful were also called upon for document verification and counseling and thereafter an order dated 15.09.2020 was issued informing the petitioners about they being selected and that the order of appointments would be issued soon after reopening of the schools. Provisional allotment letters/orders were also issued on 22.03.2021.

3. According to the petitioners, though the schools have started by way of online classes and appointments to the different categories have also been made from the same recruitment process, however till date appointment to the category to which the petitioners had applied have not been issued.

4. At this juncture the counsel for the State refers to Annexure P/6 and submits that it appears that the matter is under consideration at the secretariat level and a decision shall be taken at the earliest.

Given the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the developments that have transpired in between so far as issuance of appointment orders to the other post to which the recruitment process were conducted from the same advertisement, the present writ petition as of now stands disposed of directing the respondents to take an appropriate decision in respect of issuance of the formal order of appointment and posting orders to the petitioners in accordance with law at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
