1. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Pandriya has rejected the application of the petitioner on merits by order dated 12.3.2018.

2. On the other hand, learned Deputy Advocate General for the respondents/State would submit that order passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Pandriya rejecting the petitioner's application for issuance of caste certificate is appealable under Section 5 of the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward

Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Rules, 2013 (hereinafter called as "the Rules of 2013") before the Appellate Authority.

3. Be that as it may, the petitioner is directed to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority under Section 5 of the Rules of 2013. If such an appeal is filed by the petitioner, the appellate authority shall consider and decide the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of appeal along with certified copy of this order after hearing the affected parties.

4. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition finally stands disposed of. No cost(s).
