1. The present writ petition has been preferred for a direction to the respondent authorities to examine the service record of the petitioner according to the rules and regulations treating the petitioner as belonging to fitter cadre and grant him promotion and other benefits as has been granted to the other similarly situated persons without affecting them.
2. Shri Otwani, learned counsel for the respondent HPCL would submit that the representation preferred by the petitioner available at page 20 of the paper-book does not bear endorsement of the officer to whom it is addressed, therefore, if the petitioner moves afresh representation, the same shall be considered in accordance with the prevailing rules of the HPCL.
3. In view of the statement made by Shri Otwani, let the petitioner make a representation within a period of 10 days from today and thereafter the respondent HPCL shall decide the same in accordance with law and the rules prevailing in the HPCL in this regard, at the earliest, preferably within a period of three months from the date of submission of representation.
