1. The grievance of the petitioner in this petition is that her Husband died in harness on 07.03.2015 and after his death she has been approaching the respondents for grant of compassionate appointment, however, the respondents on some reason or other are delaying consideration on the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment.

2. At this stage, learned counsel for the respondents submits that matter may be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with the scheme applicable in the department pertaining to compassionate appointment. The counsel for the respondents further ensures

that said application of the petitioner shall be decided expeditiously.

3. In view of above submission made by the respondents, there is no reason to keep this petition pending. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to decided the case of the petitioner in accordance with scheme applicable with the department for compassionate appointment.

4. Needless to mention here that this court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case so far as eligibility of the petitioner is concerned.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No order as to costs.
