1. The writ petition primarily seems to have been filed questioning the prolonged departmental inquiry initiated against the petitioner as also

the grievance of the petitioner of his retiral dues not being settled.

2. Perusal of the pleadings would show that the petitioner for the purpose of grant of his retiral dues has already approached this Court vide WPS No. 5257/2020.

3. In view of the same, the issue so far as grant of retiral dues is concerned, this Court is not entertaining the writ petition on that count reserving the right of the petitioner to raise appropriate claim in the said writ petition i.e. WPS No. 5257/2020.

4. So far as the prolonged departmental inquiry is concerned, the documents with the writ petition further show that the matter in which the petitioner was subjected to disciplinary proceedings is already seized in a criminal case on account of an FIR registered against many of the officers working under the respondents 2 & 3 i.e. Chhattisgarh Civil Supplies Corporation.

5. In view of the fact that a criminal case is already underway it may not be practically feasible to provide a stipulated period of time for the Civil Supplies Corporation to conclude the departmental inquiry as there could be many other practical difficulties which the department may face and on that count also this Court is reluctant to issue mandamus to the respondents at this juncture. However, the respondents are expected to proceed with the departmental proceedings if at all the same has been initiated and try to conclude the same as early as possible.
