The grievance of the petitioner seems to be the non-granting of the benefits of the 7th pay commission which was brought into force w.e.f. 01.01.2016.

The petitioner in the present writ petition stood retired from the post of Accountant on 31.05.2017. The 7th pay commission was introduced from 01.01.2016, though the same was implemented after the

petitioner had retired. However, the petitioner have not been granted the benefit of the 7th pay commission for the purpose of retiral dues. The petitioner has made a detailed representation in this regard to the respondent No.1 and prays for an appropriate direction to the respondents to take a decision on this.

Given the entire facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.1 & 2 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner so far as granting the retiral benefits as per the 7th pay commission and also so far as grant of arrears of the 7th pay commission for the period between 01.01.2016 to 31.05.2017 i.e. the date on which he stood retired. 4.

Let an appropriate decision be taken by the respondents in accordance with law at the earliest within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
