1. This writ petition is filed by Smt. Sulochana Das who has erroneously described herself as mother-in-law of Kumari Megha Das stated to be missing since 13.7.2016.
2. We have seen the reports submitted on behalf of the State of Chhattisgarh which clearly show that Smt. Sulochana Das is grandmother of Kumari Megha Das, that a case of man-missing was registered; that the alleged detenu has been traced and that a report of abduction, as alleged, was
recorded as Crime No.211/16 for the offences punishable under different provisions of the Indian Penal Code and also under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 against ten persons. It is further stated by the Officer In-charge of the case that Kumari Megha Das is presently in the custody and guardianship of Vaidehi Vatsala Balika Grih, Korba.
3. We record this submission and accordingly hold that there is no ground to further entertain this writ petition seeking issuance of writ in the nature of habeas corpus. Any question relating to custody of Kumari Megha Das will stand left open to be considered by the competent statutory authority in accordance with law.
