1. The present contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 19.10.2020 passed in WP(C) No. 2420 of 2020.

2. Perusal of the records would show that the respondents-Bank had already issued notice to the petitioner and had a personal level meeting with the petitioner and had also called upon the petitioner to make an offer and if the amount offered is found to be reasonable, a settlement could be arrived at.

3. The petitioner-applicant herein subsequently is said to have made an offer vide letter dated 09.12.2020. On due scrutiny, the respondents have held that the offer made by the applicant-petitioner is not acceptable as the amount quoted by the applicant-petitioner is too

-2meager an amount considering the amount outstanding against them.

4. Given the said facts, this Court is of the opinion that no contempt as such is made out against the respondents, the contempt petition at this juncture is disposed of. If at all, if the petitioner is aggrieved of any subsequent development, the petitioner would be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies available to him under the law afresh.
