1. The relief sought for by the petitioner in the present writ petition is for direction to the respondents to decide the issue of salary payable to the petitioner between 05.01.2017 to 05.01.2018.

2. During the course of hearing, it is reflected that the petitioner during the said period has remained absent from duty and for which he has already been subjected to departmental enquiry.

3. Given the facts that for the said intervening period, the petitioner is already facing a departmental enquiry, the issue of entitlement of the petitioner for the said period could also be decided only after the departmental enquiry initiated is concluded.

4. Given the facts, this Court is of the opinion, let department conclude the departmental enquiry initiated against the petitioner so far as period of absence between 05/01/2017 to 05/01/2018 is concerned at the earliest.
