1. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents in not taking a decision on claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, the present writ petition has been filed.
2. The claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment arose on account of death of his father who died in harness on 08.05.2020. The father of the petitioner was working as a Lab Technician in Govt. PG College, Korba. The petitioner had immediately moved an application for compassionate appointment to the respondents which was forwarded by the respondent No.3 to the respondent No.2 twice, first on 30.05.2020 and again on 10.08.2020, however thereafter there has not been any further progress.
3. Given the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is of the opinion that the writ petition can be disposed of directing the
-2respondent No.2 to ensure that a decision is taken on the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance with rules at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
