2. Director General Of Police (Training) Police Head Quarter Raipur, Distt. Raipur (Chhattisgarh)
3. Superintendent Of Police Raigarh, Distt. Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) ---- Respondents --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For Petitioner :
Mr. Sumit Shrivastava, Advocate For State/Respondents :
Mr. Chandresh Shrivastava, Panel Lawyer --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hon'ble Shri Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava Order on Board 08-07-2016 Heard.
1.
This petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking issuance of direction for revaluation / re-totaling of the marks awarded to him in the Departmental Examination.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner could not satisfy this Court whether there exists any provision for revaluation under the scheme of the examination.
3.
In the absence of there being any provisions, no direction for revaluation can be issued, unless the petitioner is able to demonstrate valuation being arbitrary. No such material has been placed before this Court and the only basis for seeking revaluation is that the marks, which are awarded by the examiner are less than
what was expected. This could not be a ground to call for any further enquiry in the matter.
4.
However, as far as prayer of re-totaling is concerned, there may be possibility of calculation mistake. Respondents shall only carry out re-totaling of the marks which has been awarded to the petitioner by the concerned examiner. Subject to the limited relief, no further relief can be granted.
5.
The petition is accordingly disposed off.
