Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's application for renewal of land licence for private siding is pending consideration since 16.12.2017 before the respondents No. 1 & 2 and, therefore, same may be directed to be decided expeditiously.

Shri Sinha, learned counsel appearing for the Railway would submit that the matter has been referred to the Railway Board for consideration and the Railway Board has referred the matter to the Zonal Office for passing appropriate orders in the petitioner's application.

I have heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. 4.

Be that as it may, Respondents No. 1 & 2 are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for renewal of land licence for private siding in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of five weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the Railway Authorities are free to consider and decide the petitioner's application on its own merit in accordance with law. Sd/- (Sanjay K. Agrawal) Judge D/-
