This Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for quashment of the FIR lodged against the Petitioners on the basis of the complaint lodged by Respondent No.3-Ayushi Garg, based upon which offence punishable under Section 498-A read with Section 34 of the IPC and also Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act has been registered in connection with Crime No.205/2018.

During the pendency of this Petition, the parties have arrived at compromise and deed of settlement was duly executed between Petitioner No. 3-Sajal Garg and Respondent No. 3-Ayushi Garg under certain terms and conditions. In order to ascertain the said fact as to whether the said deed was properly executed or not, the parties were directed to be remain present before this Court and, accordingly they all have appeared and accepted the said deed of settlement executed on 02.07.2018 and have stated to abide by the terms and conditions as stipulated therein. The parties have also submitted their affidavits in support of the said compromise.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances arrived at during the pendency of this Petition, it would be just and proper to drop the said proceeding initiated in pursuance to the FIR No. 33305015180205 dated 18.04.2018 which has been registered before the police station (Kotwali), Dhamtari (C.G.) in connection with Crime No.205/2018. 4.

Accordingly, the Petition is allowed and the impugned FIR No. 33305015180205 dated 18.04.2018 registered before the police station (Kotwali), Dhamtari (C.G.) in connection with Crime No.205/2018 is hereby quashed.
