2. Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur Chhattisgarh

3. Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat, Bilha, District Bilaspur Chhattisgarh

4. Block Education Officer, Block Bilha, District Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh ---- Respondents For Petitioner :

Mr. C. Jayant K. Rao, Advocate For State/Respondents 1 & 4 :

Ms. Sunita Jain, Govt. Advocate Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order On Board 13.07.2021

1. The limited grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the inaction on the part of the respondents in not proceeding further with the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment to the post of Panchayat Secretary for which the petitioner has already given his consent.

2. The claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment arose on account of the death of his father who died in harness working on the

post of Shiksha Karmi Grade-III on 01.05.2012. The petitioner having applied for the same, it was processed and was also recommended for considering the claim of the petitioner against the post of Panchayat Secretary and the petitioner has also given her consent. However, thereafter there has been no further progress on the claim of the petitioner.

3. Given the said factual matrix, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents 2 & 3 to immediately process the claim of the petitioner and to take an appropriate decision in accordance with law on his claim for compassionate appointment to the post of Panchayat Secretary. Let a decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
