Petitioner is aged about 74 years. He has prayed for a direction to the respondent No.3 to produce report of DPC. He has also prayed for a direction to respondent No.3 to make compensation to the petitioner, as he has misplaced the report sent by respondent No.4.

The petition is entirely misconceived and frivolous. As submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner, WPL No.149/2012 is already pending before this Court concerning the issue of grant of promotion. If the petitioner was wrongly denied promotion for the fault of the present respondent No.3 or 4, he would be at liberty to make a prayer in the pending writ petition claiming appropriate compensation for denial of his legitimate rights. 3.

A separate petition claiming compensation when the issue of promotion is already pending before this Court, is neither warranted nor appropriate. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed with the liberty aforesaid.
