The grievance of the petitioner in the instant Writ Petition is that, in spite of the fact that the petitioner has applied for grant of leave and which has also been recommended by the immediate superior officer in the department, but the higher authorities in the department have till date not taken any decision on the same.

Taking into consideration the peculiar nature of relief sought for, this Court is not inclined to keep the Writ Petition pending.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed off with a direction to the respondents No. 1 & 2 to ensure that the application for grant of leave moved by the petitioner is processed and decided at the earliest preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

It shall be the responsibility of the petitioner to place the certified copy of this order before the respondents No. 1 & 2.
