1. Petitioner has preferred this writ petition seeking direction to the respondent authorities to grant him the subsistence allowance w.e.f. 13.07.2016 when the petitioner has been placed under suspension by the Sub-Divisional Officer (R), Raigarh.

2. Every employee who has been suspended under Rule 9 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1966 is entitled to subsistence allowance during the period under suspension, therefore, instead of keeping this petition pending, it is disposed of with direction that

in the event the petitioner prefers a representation before the Sub-Divisional Officer (R), Raigarh within 15 days from today for grant of subsistence allowance, the said authority shall consider and decide the representation by a speaking order at the earliest, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of representation.
