Learned counsel for the State would submit that the impugned order dated 27.03.2017 passed by the Collector and District Magistrate, Ambikapur (C.G.) rejecting petitioner's application for grant of license for fire arms is appealable before the Commissioner, District Surguja under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959.

Mr. Vikram Dixit, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he may be allowed to prefer an appeal within 15 days before the Commissioner, District Surguja.

The prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.

Be that as it may, if the petitioner prefers an appeal before the Commissioner, District Surguja within 15 days from today, the Commissioner, District Surguja shall consider and decide petitioner's appeal expeditiously in accordance with law.
