1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition in the inaction on the part of the respondents in not taking a decision on the claim application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment.

2. According to the petitioner his father was working under the respondents as Revenue Inspector and died in harness on 29.04.2017. Immediately, thereafter the petitioner moved an application for compassionate appointment. In spite of repeated reminders, no decision till date has been taken.

Given the aforesaid factual matrix of the case, the writ petition stands disposed of directing the respondent no.2 to immediately scrutinize and process the claim of the petitioner in accordance with the policy for compassionate appointment governing the field at the time of death of deceased employee at the earliest in accordance with law after due verification of the entitlement part is concerned.

4. Let a decision in this regard be taken preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. In addition to all the applications being made in the past, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach the respondents by way of fresh representation and application in respect of his claim for compassionate appointment.
