The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition seems to be the inaction on the part of the respondents in not releasing the retiral dues that the petitioner is entitled for inspite of having retired from service w.e.f. 31.08.2020 i.e. almost 11 months have passed. 2.

The petitioner in the writ petition submits that upon his retirement on 31.08.2020 the respondents were supposed to immediately release

the retiral dues including pensionary benefits, but till date nothing has been released to the petitioner. He submits that there is no other impediment under the service law with which the retiral dues could have been withheld by the respondents.

Given the limited relief that the petitioner has, the writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of directing the respondents No.2 to 5 to immediately process the entire retiral dues payable to the petitioner in accordance with the service Rules governing the field at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. In the event, if the respondents fail to settle the entire retiral dues payable to the petitioner within the aforementioned stipulated period, the petitioner shall be entitled for interest on the said amount from the date of retirement till the date the actual payments are made. The interest part would be recoverable from the erring officials, who fail to promptly process the claim of the petitioner, so far as grant of retiral dues are concerned.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
