1. Heard.

2. Indisputably, after acquisition of the petitioner's land for construction of Katsira Dam and during pendency of WPC No.2526/2010, the acquisition proceedings have been completed and the amount of compensation has already been assessed.

3. The object of preferring this petition is to direct the respondents to allow the petitioner to receive the amount of compensation under protest reserving his right to challenge the inadequacy of compensation.

4. In view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in the event, the petitioner prefers an application seeking disbursal of the amount of compensation under protest, the compensation amount shall be disbursed to him within 04 weeks from the date of submission of application.

5. If the petitioner is aggrieved by inadequate compensation, he may take recourse to the remedies available to him in law, if so advised.
