1. The present contempt petition has been filed alleging the noncompliance of the order dated 26.03.2021 passed in WPS No. 919 of 2015.

2. Perusal of the record would show that there was in fact no specific period mentioned within which the compliance had to be done. Moreover, the petitioner was directed to make a representation which the authorities were supposed to decide the same. The petitioner, from the records, appears to make the first representation only on 25.05.2021 and the reminder of which was again sent on 21.06.2021 and the present contempt petition has been filed just about 15 days after the reminder was submitted by the petitioner. Therefore, at this

juncture, this Court may not be in a position to initiate contempt proceedings against the respondent. The respondent should be granted a reasonable period of time for compliance of the order/observation made by this Court in WPS 919/2015.

3. The contempt petition accordingly stands disposed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Court in case there is an unreasonable delay. The respondent is expected to take a decision in compliance of the order dated 26.03.2021 at the earliest preferably within a reasonably period. The petitioner would be at liberty to intimate the respondent in respect of the order passed by this Court in the present contempt petition.
