Limited grievance of the petitioner is that though the petitioner-housing society has applied to the government for making available sufficient land for development of housing colony for providing residential accommodation to its members on cooperative basis, the application has remained pending for the last two years without any decision.

At this stage, learned State counsel submits that if any such application is pending, the Competent Authority shall decide the same in accordance with law. 4.

Taking into consideration the submission of learned counsel for the parties, it is directed that the application of the petitioner under Section 237 of the Land Revenue Code pending before the Respondent-Collector be considered and decided in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a

copy of this order.

It is made clear that this Court has not commented upon the merits of the petitioner's claim and competent authority shall decide the application in accordance with law.
