This petition is filed by Sarpanch seeking issuance of direction to respondents to release fund for construction activity undertaken by Panchayat as the construction agency.

On the last date of hearing, State counsel was granted time to seek instruction. It has been stated that because of various objections and complaint regarding quality of work at present disbursal has been withheld by respondent No.2 Collector.

The petition has been filed by Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, who has no personal grievance. It appears that Sarpanch, herself, filed this petition seeking direction against the State Authority. At the instance of the petitioner, this petition is not maintainable and is dismissed. However, the Gram Panchayat would be at liberty to take up the matter with the higher authority in the matter of release fund for construction activity.
