Grievance of the petitioner as ventilated through this petition is that the petitioner moved an application for counter signature on the permit issued to him by STA, Raipur on 31/12/2015 in respect of temporary permit which is valid up to 31 st of March, 2016 on a prescribed route. For one of counter signature, the petitioner is unable to apply vehicle. Therefore, direction may be issued to consider the application at the earliest.

Considering the statutory scheme of the act, it would be reasonable to direct the Respondent No. 2 to decide the petitioner's application within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of this order. 3.

It is made clear that this Court has not commented on the merits of the petition regarding counter signature. It will be up to competent Authority to take appropriate action on petitioner's application in accordance with law. 4.
