ORAL ORDER _, (Passed on this 2nd Day of March, 2015) Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The petitioner is chailenging the result of election of the office of Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Khursi; District Mungeli. Petitioner has an alternative remedy of tiling an election petition under Section 122 of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993.
In view of the provisions contained under Article 243-0 of the Constitution of india, result of an election to an office of a Panchayat can only be challenged by. way of election petition and jurisdiction of this Court is barred.
For the foregoing, the writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable.
Petitioner may prefer the duly constituted election petition in accordance with law.
