3. Neeraj Kumar, S/o Shri Narendra Kumar, Aged About 31 Years R/o HIG- II/75, Sector-4, Pt. D.D.U. Nagar, Raipur District : Raipur, Chhattisgarh. --- Petitioners

Versus

1. State of Chhattisgarh through the Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Mantralay, Mahanadi Bhawan, Naya Raipur, District : Raipur, Chhattisgarh

2. Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission through its Chairman Raipur District : Raipur, Chhattisgarh --- Respondents 28.05.2018 Ms. Supriya Upasane, counsel for the Appellants. No Mr. Prafull Bharat, Additional Advocate General for the State.

Mr. Chandrabhushan Kesarwani, counsel for respondent No.2.

The instant writ appeal is against the order dated 14.05.2018 passed in Writ Petition No.3649/2018. The grievance of the appellants are that the appellants are holding the Degree of Science in Petroleum Geology which is equivalent to the postgraduate degree i.e., Master of Science in Geology, therefore, the advertisement which was made for Assistant Geologist by not including the degree of Master of Science in Petroleum Geology suffers with illegality.

During the course of arguments, it is stated that the on-line application to the Post of Assistant Geologist were to be submitted on or before 26.05.2018. It appears that by now I.e, as on 28.05.2018, the last date for submission of applications has passed and the cause has died its natural death. Therefore, there is no point in going into the merits of the writ appeal as it becomes infructuous by efflux of time.

Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed.

Consequently, I.A.Nos. 2 & 3 for urgent hearing/ hearing the case during summer vacation stand disposed of.
