1. The limited relief that the petitioner has sought for through the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representation seeking for early release of his earned leave.
2. According to the Counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner stood retired from service w.e.f. 31.05.2020.
3. Given the fact that the petitioner has retired from service for more than a year, the writ petition is at this juncture is disposed of directing the respondents No. 2 & 3 to immediately scrutinize the claim of the petitioner, so far as his claim for earned leave is concerned and an appropriate decision be taken at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

If the petitioner is entitled for the same, the amount should also be paid to the petitioner within the said period of 90 days, failing which the amount shall carry interest @ 10 % per annum from the date of his retirement till the actual payments are made. It would be recoverable from the Officials who are responsible for not processing the claim of the petitioner promptly after his retirement.
5. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge J-
