Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 17/05/2019

1. The claim of the petitioner through the present writ petition is for an appropriate direction to the respondents for renewal of his contract period of service.

2. Since the very nature of the initial appointment of the petitioner was contractual and it is not a case of the petitioner that it has been discontinued in between, this court does not find any strong case made out by the petitioner for the relief sought for. However, since the scheme is still in operation, the petitioner can make a suitable representation to the respondent authorities seeking for renewal of the contract or for granting fresh contractual appointment in the light of the previous satisfactory service that he has rendered with the respondents.

3. Accordingly, reserving the right of the petitioner for approaching the authorities, the present writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge inder
