1. The grievance of the petitioner is the non-granting of compensation against the land belonging to the petitioner which has been acquired for NHDP-IV Scheme of the Govt. of India.
2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of land bearing Khasra Nos. 433, 720, 724 & 449 measuring 0.166, 0.040, 0.081 & 1.797 hectares respectively. The said land has been acquired by the respondents
under the NHDP-IV Scheme. Though the land has been acquired, the petitioner has not been paid any compensation for the land which was initially notified in the award under the Land Acquisition Act and for the additional land which has also been acquired, compensation has not yet been paid.

Given the said facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the opinion that considering the nature of dispute, the writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents 2 & 3 to take appropriate steps on due verification of the fact as regards the land belonging to the petitioner which has been acquired. The respondents 2 & 3 shall also verify whether any compensation has been paid to the petitioner against his land which has been acquired and if not, necessary steps be taken at the earliest. Let this proceeding be concluded within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
