Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that on certain personal difficulty, the petitioner had applied for her transfer on her own request to District Surajpur, but she has been transferred at the option of District Education Officer, Koriya.

The competent authority is not bound to transfer any employee according to choice of his/her place. A Government employee can always be transferred to any other place on administrative exigency. It is not known whether the respondents have taken any decision on petitioner's representation while transferring her in this session.

Be that as it may, the petitioner has made a request, the competent authority may consider petitioner's request, in accordance with its own policy, subject to administrative exigency for transfer and posting of an employee and decide the same as early as possible, preferably within a period of a six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
