Instant petition is filed by the convict stating that he has suffered jail sentence more than 14 years who was convicted under Section 302 read with section 34 and 450 of IPC and under section 25 of the Arms Act. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that claiming remission of sentence an application was filed in the month of March, 2017 before the appropriate government of Chhattisgarh and the respondent may be directed to decide such application of the petitioner. 3.
Considering the nature of the prayer made that the petitioner is lodged in jail and the application which is filed before the respondent No.1, it is directed that respondent No.1 may decide the application of the petitioner within further period of three months from the date of copy of the
order is presented before the authority and if need be a fresh representation be made in accordance with law. It is made clear that this court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case. 4.
