1. The case of the petitioner is that the brother of the petitioner namely late Suresh Kumar Bhagat, who was working as

E.P.G.H. Category-I in the respondents' department, died in harness on 7.2.2018 and thereafter an application for commissioner appointment was filed on 15-5-2018 before the respondents authority. It is further submitted that the respondents authority has not decided the said application and has not granted compassionate appointment to the petitioner, therefore, the same may be directed to be decided within a stipulated period.

2. Considering the fact that the brother of the petitioner while working died in harness on 7-2-2018 and the application for compassionate appointment was filed on 15-5-2018 before the respondents authority which remained undecided, the respondents are directed to decide the same within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the aforesaid observation/direction and without making any observation on the entitlement of the petitioner, this writ petition stands disposed of.
