1. Heard.

2. The instant petition is filed for the reason that a complaint having been filed that preliminary investigation report was called for by the CJM but the police is not complying with the same and the dates are being extended from time to time, therefore, the police be directed to give its report before the Court

below.

3. Perused the order-sheets of the complaint filed by the petitioner. It appears that the preliminary investigation report was called for by the Court below and the same is pending since March, 2017. Taking into such fact, it is directed that the concerned Police Station shall file the report before the Court below within a further period of 45 days. It is further made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of this case and the police shall be free to give its independent report as it deem fit.
