1. The limited prayer that petitioner has made through the present writ petition is for appropriate direction to the respondents to consider and decide the request of the petitioner for grant of promotional benefits under the New Pension Scheme of 2018.

2. According to the petitioner, he has already made an application in this regard as per the requirement of the respondents as early as on 25.02.2020. However, till date the application is pending consideration before the respondents.

3. Mr. N. Naha Roy appearing for the respondents submits that pending application, if it is not decided, the same shall be decided at the earliest.

Given the nature of relief and dispute raised for and matter is pending consideration before the respondents, this Court is of the opinion that writ petition as of now can be disposed of directing the respondents to take appropriate decision on the application for grant of pensionary benefits under the New Pension Scheme of 2018 and respondents in turn shall take appropriate decision on the same at the earliest within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
