1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the rejection of her application for Head of the Department in Electronics and Telecommunication, Government Polytechnic Engineering College.
2. The rejection was on the alleged ground that the petitioner was not having the requisite experience.
3. Today, when the matter was called, counsel appearing for respondent no.3 submits that he has instruction to state that the Department shall reconsider the application of the petitioner if she submits her application afresh, as according to respondent no.3 the recruitment process till date has not been finalized.
4. Given the said submission by the counsel for respondent no.3, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition itself can be disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a fresh application for consideration on the post of HOD in Electronics and Telecommunication, Government Polytechnic Engineering College. Subject to the petitioner moving an application along with all relevant documents and certificates to establish her credentials for the said post within a period of 7 days from today, respondent no.3 shall consider the candidature of the petitioner on merit along with other candidates.
5. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
