Hon'ble Shri Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal Order On Board 22/06/18 1.

This batch of writ petitions have been preferred by the petitioners against the order passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Durg (Annexure - P/1 colly), under Section 4 of the Chhattisgarh Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Regulation of Social Status Certification) Act, 2013 (for brevity, 'Act of 2013').

2.

Learned State counsel would submit that the order passed by the SubDivisional Officer (Revenue) is appealable before the Collector under Section 5 of the Act of 2013.

3.

In view of the above, since the order is appealable before the Collector under Section 5 of the Act of 2013, this Court is not inclined to entertain this batch of writ petitions. However, petitioners would be at liberty to move an

appeal before the Appellate Authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. On such an appeal being preferred by the petitioners, the Appellate Authority shall consider and decide the said appeal expeditiously.

4.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petitions stand finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
